Woori Bank had its first footstep in Vietnam since 1997, until 2017 Woori Bank established an official legal entity in Vietnam with the name Woori Bank Vietnam Limited (Woori Bank Vietnam), with Headquarters in Hanoi. After establishing a legal entity, Woori Bank Vietnam has expanded its business network, present in most major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, etc. with 24 branches and transaction offices across the country.

In 2020, Woori Bank Vietnam was approved to raise the total charter capital to VND 7,700 billion and become the bank with the largest charter capital within foreign banks operating in Vietnam.
